Paediatric First Aid

Course Background:

This course is designed for parents, care givers, school teachers, crèche, and montessori staff. It will provide participants with a full understanding of paediatric first aid for children aged up to 13 years old.

Course Content:

• Patient assessment (paediatric triangle)
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation(CPR)
• Chocking (foreign body airway obstruction)
• Fractures, burns, bleeding, poisoning
• Head injuries
• Medical emergencies

Learning Outcomes:

This course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to tend to a child or infant with medical emergencies.

This Course is Designed For:

Parents, care givers, school teachers, crèche, and montessori staff.

Training methodology:

This course is classroom based and it is highly interactive with role-playing playing and practical exercises to reinforce the participants understanding and learning.Each learner can give their own cases of emergencies they have had to deal with. There will also be a case scenario presented to each student at the end of the course to ascertain if the learner has received the skills required.

What to Bring to This Course:

While pens and paper will be supplied, participants are free to bring their own.

Duration of the Course:

1 Day.

Certification:

On completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate in peadiatric first aid.
